Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Aid (WFA)

All of our certification courses are done with SOLO wilderness medicine.  SOLO is the longest continuously operating wilderness medical school in the country and they are a great resource.

SOLO WFA courses are a great tool for anyone who wants to spend time outside. This 16 hour, 2 day program will introduce you to patient assessment, treatment and management of injuries in backcountry conditions. You will learn to improvise splints and litters, stop bleeding, and other potentially lifesaving skills.

An optional CPR course for those who wish to add a SOLO CPR certification course to the WFA course.

Learn More about SOLO

SOLO has been educating and certifying folks in wilderness medicine since 1976.  Wicked Good Wilderness Medicine is very proud to be able to offer SOLO certification courses here in Maine.  For more information on SOLO and to learn more about the main campus in Conway NH, check out their website: https://www.soloschools.com

We offer several courses a year. With small class sizes, hands on practice and two locations we hope everyone can join us for a course. Courses include a hardcopy WFA book and this course is taught over two days. Cost is $235 for the WFA certification and $45 for CPR certification.
